Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy enhances the quality of life, and promoted independence for individuals with any physical disability in our region for over 52 years.  Founded locally by a group of caring parents in 1956, Alleghenies UCP’s mission has evolved into providing a variety of services.

 

Today, Alleghenies UCP serves approximately 750 children, youth, adults, and seniors providing 768,000 hours of care in the following Pennsylvania counties:

Approximately 24% of the consumers served have cerebral palsy.  Other disabilities served through Alleghenies UCP programs include: spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, quadriplegia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), diabetes, autism, stroke, and more.  Alleghenies UCP employs over 600 direct support staff that provide in-home, non-medical, daily living assistance including personal care, range of motion, transportation and other assistance to individuals with any physical disability.
