Residential Program Worker

The Residential Program Worker will provide daily living assistance to physically disabled individuals living in a residential group home setting located in Johnstown.  The duties will include, but are not limited to, bathing, feeding, housekeeping, laundry, errands and meals, appointments and outings, changing, toileting and transfers to and from wheelchairs including the use of mechanical lifts.  This position is part time presently and may lead to full time employment.

• Starting wage is $8.50 per hour.
• Weekend/Holiday/3rd Shift wage is $11.00 per hour.

  Position Requirements:
  
• Must be 18 yrs. of age.
  
• Nurses Aide Course or equivalent training/experience preferred but we will train.
  
• On the job training required to provide health maintenance.
  
• The ability to lift 75 pounds (proper lifting and transfer technique will be taught).
  
• Must complete a 5-Day orientation/training in Johnstown and additional specific training on group home regulations and requirements.
  
• Must complete Medicine Administration training and pass certification.
  
• References checks.
  
• State Police, Child Abuse Clearance and Motor Vehicle Record Checks will be required.
  
• FBI Check may be required.
• Drug testing required.
