Benefits
Definitions:
- Full Time: Employees having worked a minimum of 37.5 hours per week for twelve (12) consecutive weeks and having completed the “Introductory Period” become eligible for designated full-time benefits.
- Part Time: Employees having worked a minimum of 20 hours, but less than 37.5 hours, per week for twelve (12) consecutive weeks and having completed the “Introductory Period” become eligible for designated part-time benefits.
- Casual: Any employee working less than 20 hours per week is considered casual and is not eligible for any of the benefits.
Benefits Available:
- UPMC Medical insurance is available to full-time employees only.
- Vision and Dental insurance is available to both full-time and part-time employees.
- Short-term Disability is available to full-time employees only. This benefit is available for use after 1 full year of employment.
- Voluntary Long-term Disability insurance can be purchased by full-time employees after 1 year of employment.
- Life Insurance is available to both full-time and part-time employees.
- Retirement Plan is a 401k plan available to both full-time and part-time employees who are employed for 1 year with at least 1000 hours worked in that year.
- 10 paid holidays.
- All Purpose Leave – encompassing Vacation, Sick Leave and Personal Time is accrued as a percentage of hours worked by both full-time and part-time employees.
- Benefits are available and will begin the 1st of the month following the completion of the introductory period and the completion of 12 consecutive weeks at full-time hours.
- Part-time benefits of Vision, Life, Dental and All Purpose Leave for employees are available and will begin the 1st of the month following the completion of the introductory period and the completion of 12 consecutive weeks of at least 20 hours per week. (90 day introductory period)
- Employee must maintain full-time or part-time status in order to maintain benefits.
