Job ShadowingAttendants have the opportunity to see what exactly goes on in a consumer’s home.

Hands on training/Hoyer lifts/TransfersElderly Issues, oral hygiene, nutrition & diets, pressure sores & skin breakdown, dealing with difficult people, bed making, hoyer lifts and gait belts.

Consumer/Attendant trainingConsumers discuss their disabilities and what is qualities are important for an attendant.

Core TrainingHistory of Social Services, Independent Living Movement, and CSPPPD Programs.

PA. Emergency PreparednessEmergency situations and how to prepare for them.

CPR/First AidCPR provided through AHA instructors with applied practice on adult, child, infant mannequins. AED reviewed.

 

Annual Training:

Body MechanicsProper lifting techniques, good body posture, and mechanical workings of the back.

Fire SafetyEducation of the safe and proper procedure of using a fire extinguisher. Applying PASS and RACE.

On-Line Computer Training CoursesAccredited computer classes offered in various topics. Paid classes done at your convenience.

CPR/First AidCPR provided through AHA instructors with applied practice on adult, child, infant mannequins. AED reviewed.
